Warranty Terms and Conditions

This new Vehicle Warranty applies to new and demonstrator SsangYong vehicles first delivered to customers from 1st September 2018.

SsangYong Australia warrants:

Each new SsangYong vehicle imported into Australia by SsangYong Australia (SYAU) is covered by a warranty for 7 years, bumper to bumper.

New Vehicle - warranty commencement

SsangYong warranty begins on the day the new vehicle is first registered by a SsangYong dealer.

Ex-demonstrator Vehicle – warranty commencement

The SsangYong warranty on ex-demonstrator vehicles begins when the vehicle is first registered by the SsangYong dealer and put into service as a demonstrator vehicle. You will be entitled to the balance of the vehicle warranty period remaining at the date of your purchase. *

* Exception - In Western Australia, the warranty period begins from the date of purchase of the ex-demonstrator vehicle, however the kilometre limit (if applicable) commences from the date when the vehicle was put into service as a demonstrator vehicle.

All benefits to the consumer given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Consumers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

Consumers are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
